Cross-Chat References

Allow referencing or including context from previous chats in a new conversation.

What I'd like:

  • Ability to attach/link a previous chat (or multiple chats) as context to a new one

  • Ideally searchable chat history so finding the right one is easy

  • attach/link selectable or all history from Projects

Why it matters:
Work often spans multiple sessions — being able to pull in context from a past conversation without copy-pasting saves time and avoids losing important decisions/outcomes.

Yeah agreed. I plan to add a new screen called Library, similar to ChatGPT app. WDYT?

i think thats a good approach… but Library is mostly for attachments

and files… if it can work with past history / chat sessions that should work great.

One additional idea… instead of only linking direct entire previous conversation / chat / session or all chats from a project… why not add an option to summarize it with an LLM and attach that to your chat for context.

Interesting. But I fear that the UX would be super convoluted. Currently you can fork a chat and basically have another version with full of its context. Maybe what you need is more of a summary of that chat, and handoff to a new chat?

Basically the main feature here at least for me would be to combine multiple chat histories into one… (best via summary), especially in a project.

For example in one chat i talk with LLM about feature A. And in second chat i talki about feature B and then i would maybe want to combine both chats into a new one.
