BoltAI v2 continues to follow the same license policy as v1: Perpetual license with one year of updates.
However, some features in v2 are only available in the Updates & Sync Plan. Please refer to the “Updates & Sync Plan” below to learn more.
You can activate your v1 license with v2. We upgraded your license to a new tier with more benefits. Please refer to the “Activate v1 License Key” below.
Personal License
Perpetual license with one year of updates.
A perpetual license allows you to use a specific version of BoltAI indefinitely. You can also receive all the future updates of the app within the first year after purchase.
After the first year, you can continue to use the last version of BoltAI that you have for as long as you want. There are no changes in terms of app functionalities for local features. Cloud features may be paused.
If you want to continue to receive updates for one more year, you can renew your license with 40% discount. That means the renewal price is 60% of your purchase price (before discount) and won't be affected if the app price increases in the future.
You can renew your license any time after your update period ends, the renewal discount never expires.
The perpetual licensing model is a good way to support the continuous development of software. It has been widely adopted by the developers of many great macOS apps: DevUtils, Proxyman, JetBrains IDE, Sketch, TablePlus, Parallels Desktop, and many more.
For BoltAI, the perpetual licensing model allows me to continue to deliver new features and bug fixes for as long as there are customers who use the app.

Updates & Sync Plan
Your purchase includes one year of the Updates & Sync Plan. This plan keeps BoltAI current and enables secure cloud sync where your tier includes it.
What’s included
App updates & fixes released during the plan period.
Cloud Sync & mobile access, with storage based on your tier:
Essential: 512 MB
Pro: 1 GB
Pro+ & Lifetime: 5 GB
Priority compatibility updates for new macOS/iOS releases.
When the plan lapses
The app continues to work locally (you own a perpetual license).
Cloud Sync stops; your cloud vault and mobile access switch to read-only for up to 24 months (eligible tiers).
Your cloud data remains read-only for up to 24 months. You can renew any time in that window to resume syncing, everything comes back.
You can export your data at any time while paused.
After 24 months, we permanently delete the cloud copy for privacy and cost reasons. Your local data is never touched.
Renewal (manual by default)
Renew any time for another year at a 40% discount (renewal price = 60% of your original pre-discount price).
The renewal discount never expires.
Auto-renew is OFF by default. You can enable it in billing if you prefer set-and-forget.
Renewal is optional.
Notes
BoltAI is Bring Your Own Keys (BYOK) by default; Cloud Sync does not include model usage credits.
Lifetime plan: lifetime software updates are included; Cloud Sync follows the same per-tier storage and fair-use terms.
Activating v1 License Key
You can activate your v1 license key in BoltAI v2 if your Updates Plan has not expired yet.
Your v1 license will be upgraded to one of the following tiers: Essential, Pro and Pro+.

The new v2 license tiers give you more benefits than v1, specifically:
Essential (v2): Unlock all PRO features. 1 Mac device. 512 MB Cloud Storage included.
Pro: Unlock all PRO features. 1 extra Mac device. Bonus 1 mobile device. 1GB Cloud Storage included.
Pro+: Unlock all PRO features. 1 extra Mac devices. Bonus 2 mobile devices. 5GB Cloud Storage included.
Note that mobile access and Cloud Sync are part of the Updates & Sync Plan. When it lapses, mobile access & sync pauses. This allows us to offer cloud sync and mobile maintenance without charging a subscription.
BoltAI mobile lifetime license is available as a separate purchase.
